This Listing from a Family Collection of Shooting Sports Enthusiasts is a Used; Circa 1952-53; Serial # S 92,0XX; Smith & Wesson .357 Magnum; Pre-Model 27; 5-Screw Sideplate Revolver; 8-3/8 Inch Slightly Tapered Heavy Barrel; Solid Serrated Rib & Sight Tang with Fine-Checkered Topstrap; Windage & Elevation Click-Adjustable Target Rear Sight; 1/8-Inch-Wide Pinned & Ramped Partridge Front Sight; Four-Line Address on the Frame; Large S&W Monogram on the Sideplate; Serrated Front- and Backstrap. The barrel is marked “SMITH & WESSON” on the Left Side; “S&W .357 MAGNUM” on the Right Side. This Revolver has a Medium Width Checkered (Low Spur) Hammer; Serrated Trigger. The Barrel is Pinned and the Cylinder is Recessed with Matching Serial Number on the Rear Cylinder Face. The Bore is Like-New; and the Chambers are Bright, Shiny and Like-New as well. The Blued Finish shows hardly any wear for its age (70+ years) as shown in the photographs – with a faint cylinder line, a stripe where the cylinder pin brushes the frame on opening and closing, some blemishes on the rear sight blade, and other evidence of handling with little live ammunition firing. Grips are the Standard S&W Magna Style with Diamond Escutcheon-Surround. Not being dealers or experts, we estimate this revolver at approximately 98 Percent Original Modern Condition.
