Description:
26 inch octagon barrel and full length magazine tube. Dark bore with visible rifling that would benefit from a thorough cleaning. Original sights include a blade front and flat top sporting rear. Good traces of original blue with the balance turning a pleasing plum /brown color. Special order takedown frame. Wood retains good traces of original varnish with a rifle style buttplate. Nice functioning action. Early antique serial number shows it was made in 1896.These antique serial number take downs are getting hard to find.
