Marlin Model 336RC regular carbine, 20" round JM-marked Micro Groove barrel, full magazine, plain walnut stocks with white line spacers and Marlin logo hard rubber butt plate, pistol grip with cap, ramped front sight (missing hood) and open rear sight, gold trigger, caliber 30-30 Winchester, serial number V18861, made 1964.
All blued surfaces are 95% bright and original, and almost all the gold remains on the trigger. Sling swivels have been added to the mag tube and butt stock, the Marlin Bullseye having been removed for the swivel installation. Top of receiver factory drilled & tapped for a scope and shows prior scope block wear. Butt plate has small nick on lower left and white line spacer does not fit well. White line spacer and pistol grip cap both fit perfectly. Excellent, bright shiny bore rates a 9.5 of 10. Action is smooth, half cock safety functions properly. This carbine feeds, fires and ejects as it should, having been test-fired using Winchester 150 grain Super X ammo. Stocks show just light wear, so splits or cracks, never sanded or refinished. A nice, vintage 336RC that presents well and will make a great hunter/shooter. Offers entertained.
