3rd price reduction, now $345.00. Original listing was $495.00. This is a Rifle Scope made by C. Reichert of Wien, Austria. Looking on the internet to find more history I find that this is primarily a WW 1 Sniper Scope. This scope has Claw Mount Rings but I do not have the bases. I think the installed claw mounts are of a type that may have been used on a sporting rifle. I have seen European double rifles with claw mounted scopes similar to the mounts on this scope. I estimate that this scope is about 4 power but is not marked as to power or magnification. It has a vertical point and three blunt points, shown in the photos, which is a common early European reticle.
The condition of the scope is very good. The view through the scope is fairly clear while a little bit cloudy. This scope would benefit from an internal cleaning. The reticle is intact and straight. The finish is better than 90% original finish. The photos show the condition well.
