Description:
This is a very nice and lightweight Lefever Durston Special 20 gauge with 26" barrels that are choked skeet & skeet with 2-5/8" chambers. It is a casehardened sidelock action with double triggers and extractors. The LOP is 14 1/8" to a black factory butt plate. the drop at the comb is 1-1/2" and the drop at the heel is 2-1/2". The gun weighs 6lbs 1oz. The two dot matrix Xs on the back of the watertable indicate the smallest Lefever frame they made. It is in nice original condition retaining nearly all of the barrel blue, good, but dark, case colors, and mirror bores. It has very good screws that have not been tampered with. The wood has had some light finish added to it and it has nice figure with clean checkering. According to the book only 6% of the Lefever guns were 20 gauge. It was made around 1912 and it's the perfect young person's gun. A great little, quick, bird gun for the upcoming season. Includes shipping and insurance to the lower 48.
