Description:
The CZ® 550 American Safari Magnum Bolt-Action Rifle is built on a full magnum length, Mauser-style action, utilizing controlled round feeding, a large claw extractor, and a fixed ejector. CZ tailored the American Safari Magnum for the US market, with a high, flat comb intended for use with scope sights, though still retaining backup iron sights. The Turkish walnut stock has a satin oil finish, a thick rubber recoil pad, and cut checkering. Two crossbolts through the receiver, and an extra recoil lug dovetailed into the underside of the barrel, keep the barreled action solidly planted in the stock during recoil. A classic, three-leaf, rear express sight and a barrel-band front sight provide instant sight acquisition at close range and allow quick adjustment for long shots. The square-bridged Mauser action has 19mm dovetails milled into it for attaching scopes securely. The fully adjustable, single-set trigger enables deliberate, precise shot placement. A hinged floorplate facilitates unloading, and a 2-position, push-to-fire safety locks the bolt closed when engaged.
