***SOLD*** Outstanding and rare Winchester 70 African Super Grade in powerful 458 Win. Mag. This is the 2nd rarest style of Model 70 ever made with only 1226 manufactured! S/N 380900 with matching scribed bolt made in 1956. 98% Blue throughout. The wood is excellent as well, with no cracks and showing only very light handling marks. The factory recoil pad is like new and still supple. Correct Lyman 37FA silver bead front sight, and the elaborate machined elevation adjustable rear sight. Beautiful rust blued barrel. 25" Barrel. Bore and mechanical functions are flawless. All 458s had factory installed crossbolts in the stocks to strengthen. There were 3 versions of this: one large threaded crossbolt, 2 large bakelite plugged crossbolts, or 2 small bakelite plugged crossbolts. This rifle has the 2 smaller crossbolts. An excellent example of a very scarce rifle.
