Description:
Serial #240004-S, .22 LR, 6" heavy barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a 1968-made pistol that has 98-99% of the original blue remaining with only some hints of silvering at the muzzle and along a few of the high and exposed edges. Additionally, the markings have been filled with gold paint for legibility. The thumb-rest target grips are likewise in excellent shape with a few very minor handling marks and almost no flattening of the points. There is some small pieces of raised wood around the screw escutcheon on the RT side. The pistol is housed in its original, matching numbered Colt two-piece, woodgrain box with intact yellow end label. The box is a bit worn, with some corner separations, but is still in very good condition overall. This is an excellent, little-used example of a 3rd Series Match Target Woodsman, and would make a great addition to any collection. There are some reflections in the photographs. FFL or C&R;
