Description:
Winchester Model 52B Sporter, .22 LR bolt aciton rifle. This is the iconic Winchester .22 that was adapted from the Model 52 target rifle to be the perfect gun cabinet mate to the Winchester Model 70 Super Grade. Cheek piece, Super Grade inletted sling swivels, tapered forearm with Super Grade checkering and the ebony forearm tip.
The 52B was the last of the Sporters of have a receiver that was not factory drilled and tapped for scope mounts although quite few were later drilled/tapped by gunsmiths to accomodate a scope and that makes the originnal, non-drilled 52B's just that much more valuable and collectible.
All original finishes and very little wear..the bolt knob shows some wear as does the bottom of the trigger guard, otherwise this is a 98% gun.
