Description:
28 inch octagon No. 3 weight barrel chambered in 44 WCF caliber with a shiny bore that has visible rifling and light frosting. Sights include a blade front and sporting rear. Marked on the side of the barrel in script lettering "P.M. SS. Co" which stands for Pacific Mail Steam Ship Company. Barrel is a silver/gray patina. Case hardened receiver has slight traces of colors with the balance a silver/gray. Wood is in good condition with a crescent buttplate and ebony Schnabel forearm tip. Crisp tight action. Comes with a Research Form from the Cody Firearms Records Office. Manufactured in 1891. Should be a good shooter.
