*** SALE PENDING DARRELL P ***

Winchester Model 1894 rifle in caliber 32 Winchester Special, standard configuration of 26" full octagon barrel, full magazine, plain walnut stocks, plain trigger, crescent butt with steel butt plate, blued and case hardened finish, serial number 150935, made 1902 which is the first year the 32 Winchester Special cartridge was offered. Personal properly of William Parker Lloyd of Philipsburg, Pennsylvania as noted by the small brass plaque on the left side of the butt stock. Mr. Lloyd was born 18 October 1875 in Philipsburg and passed at 88 years old on 20 November 1963. Mr. Lloyd served in Company L, 5th PA Infantry during the Spanish-American War. All provenance I could find is pictured and will be provided to the buyer.

This is a very good, honest rifle, maintaining 50% fine aged blue on the barrel and 70% blue on the magazine tube. Hammer and lever retain traces of original case colors, with the butt plate and fore end cap having silvered out. Receiver retains 25% blue with the balance patina, and the loading gate retains 50% bright original fire blue. Mag tube is tight with no wobble. Action functions perfectly, including the half cock safety. Stocks are sound with no splits or cracks, never sanded or refinished, exhibiting typical nicks from years of carry/hunting/shooting. Stocks remain tight and proud except for some slight wear at the butt stock toe. Original sights include the Smokeless rear that was designed and marked specifically for the 32 Winchester Special cartridge (undamaged and fully functional) as well as the standard German silver blade front sight with set screw.  Bore is bright and shiny, an 8.5 of 10, with just light wear, no pitting, no rings, no bulges, should make an excellent shooter. Grades NRA Very Good. Seldom do we get to tie a Winchester to a specific individual, especially to the original owner.

No international sales. Must ship to FFL or C&R license (recent changes in NY State law requires shipment to an FFL only if going to a NY State buyer). Payment by personal check, bank check or postal money order (sorry no credit cards). 3 day non-firing inspection. Buyer pays return shipping. Packed with care and shipped USPS Priority Mail with tracking.
