REMINGTON 396 SPORTING, Deluxe Sporting Clays Shotgun, 12 GA. Limited Manufacturing,, Only about 2000 Made. MFG: 1998. Engraved Sideplates, Ported 30" Barrels, 2-3/4 and 3 inch Chambers. Two Extended Rem Chokes, both are Imp. Cyl. High Grade Checkered Walnut Furniture. Fine Bores, Excellent Mechanical Condition. LOP: 141/2" Weight: 8.5 Lbs. Drop is 1 3/4" Two tiny cracks just starting behind the sideplates on each side as shown.
The Model 396 was a Remington Custom Shop Peerless. The receiver and side plates are nickel finish, with ornate scroll engraving. The wood is fancy and figured with deep, sharp checkering. This gun has the original matching numbers box and owner's manual and stock removal tool with it.
