It has a highly reliable Mauser-type controlled round feed extractor, and a cold hammer-forged barrel. It has integral scope mounts, machined directly on the solid-steel receiver. This stainless-steel barrel and action are set in a Zytel stock with a rubber recoil pad. Built in 1992. The .223 Remington is a rimless, bottlenecked rifle cartridge developed in 1957.
