For your consideration, the Mauser Gewehr 98 bolt-action rifle chambered in 7.92x57mm (8mm Mauser). The Gewehr 98 based on the Mauser 1898 rifle is well known for its action and its wartime usage from the late 19th century through the Second World War. This Gewehr 98 is from the first World War, manufactured by Waffenfabrik Mauser in 1916. The serial number is 1409 with a DD suffix, with the Prussian Imperial Proofmark. The serials are matching, including Reciever, Barrel, Stock, Bolt, Extractor, Bolt Stop, Safety and Floorplate. 7.92x57mm
