Description:
This Springfield Armory U.S. Model 1898 is a right hand bolt action rifle in .30-40 Krag Cal. It has a 22.5 inch barrel. A raised blade front sight and a two position numbered adjustable notch middle sight. The butt stock is a smooth grip two piece hardwood straight grip. The forearm is a two piece hardwood with finger grooves and a steel band. Serial Number 478698 (1904). Barrel is stamped SA, has the flaming bomb and 6-19. .30-40 Krag
