US Navy 'Mark V' Dive Knife made by Union Cutlery KA-BAR (maker of the famous Marine KA-BAR fighting knife). This is the Navy’s Deep-Sea, hard hat divers knife in use from 1929 through at least the Vietnam War era. Although a large number of these knives were made for WWII, by many different companies, Union Cutlery K-BAR are relatively rare today. Although the blade shows some fine scratches from use it is in good shape with sharp saw teeth. Screw threads on both the knife and sheath are near perfect. The turned maple handle has some nicks and dings but none are deep.
