Unigue Savage 99 R Heavy Rifle We have this one listed below and a 2d earlier version chambered in desirable 250 3000 (in a separte listing...see sellers other items)
It is unclear why this unique iteration was made with heavier (thicker) stocks...one might guess that it was because so many 99's cracked the butt stock behind the upper tang but this is unknow. It othewise resemble 99F except these have 24" barrles and the stocks are thicker and heavier.
This one is in exceptional original conditon with only light carry wear on the receiver from being carried. Lever parts not exposed to the elements still retain good brilliant case color.
