A MUST OWN FOR SERIOUS REMINGTON COLLECTORS...This is the lst Deluxe model 14 we have ever seen. With factory upgraded higly figured dark American Walnut Checkered Butt Stock and Forend. The 14 was the genuis of John Pedersen...the father of the first and most successful pump action big game rifles (14, 14 1/2, model 25 and 141's) Handsome and svelt and a pleasure to look at, carry to hold and hunt with. There is a previous repair to the butt stock but it is otheriwse exactly as it left the factory sometime before 1920. Productions of these ran from approx 1912 to 1935 when they were replaced with the model 141 (for cost saving...the 14's are nicer and lighter than the 141's) Among its clever design feathers is the spiral magazine which serves to prevent accidental discharge from the point of bullets in the tubular magazine from detonating the cartride in front of it. The orginal factory blue is in incredible condtion for a rifle a little over 100 yrs old. Bore is mirror and perfect
Bonus: this still has the sought after Wheel Sight which are hard to find and when avail sell for a couple of hundred on ebay as well as the little Lyman folding tang sight in factory holes at the rear of the reciever....This beauty would look perfect in the corner of any deer camp in Deer Country across the land.
