Description:
This example is a Colt Mark IV Government Model Series 70 in 45 auto. The gun was manufactured in 1982 with serial 70B37298. The markings on the left slide; "COLT'S MK IV/SERIES '70 / GOVERNMENT MODEL / .45 AUTO CALIBER" and with a Rampant Colt logo. The right of the frame is marked "COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD, CONN. U.S.A." with the serial number. The right side of the slide is marked "COLT'S GOVERNMENT MODEL". The top of the barrel is marked "COLT .45 AUTO. / MK.IV/SERIES '70". The left front of the trigger guard is marked "B". The right trigger guard bow is marked "T". The front sight is a serrated ramped blade fixed to the slide. The rear sight is a square-notch dovetailed to the rear of the slide. The arched mainspring housing is also serrated. The grips are two-piece textured wood with gold colt medallions. This comes with two magazines marked "Colt / .45 AUTO / 8-RD". .45 ACP
