Description:
Holland & Holland "Super Trap" 12 Gauge Boxlock Ejector Single Barrel Trap. The gun was built in 1983 for the American market, 12 Gauge, 32" BBL, flat matted rib, the action is open scroll and gamescene engraved, case hardened, serial number in gold surrounded by scroll on the guard, pheasants in flight on the right side, mallards in flight on the left, "Holland & Holland, London" in panel surrounded by open scroll at bottom of the action surrounded by open scroll. The barrel is 32" with a wide vent rib, proofed at 2 3/4", bore is mirror, blue is strong, .725 Diameter with .025 Choke. The stocks are of figured walnut, very high grade, 14 3/8" to a decellerator pad, crestplate is marked EDC, Monte Carlo Comb, chequering and finish are both original, 2" Drop at Heel, 1 3/8" Drop at the line of a straight comb, balance is ahead of the pin, Cased in a maker's full length, initialed to match crestplate with accessories. 8lbs 10oz. 0372151 IRSSRC $7200.00 Consignment, Please make any offers via email.
Condition: Bore is near perfect, 1983 London Nitro, bbl has 95% condition blue as original, action engraving is sharp edged with original background black, pad is well done, hardened, barrel is tight on face, We have polished out the original finish and it is lovely, we did not remove scratches or handling marks. There is one larger scratch near the end of the butt on the right hand side. There was also a deeper scratch just past the fore end iron. This has been fixed. When this was ed at Poulin's it was noted that the ejector was not working. The ejector had been disconnected. When reconnected, it performs as it should. The butt pad is a bit hard and could do with replacing.
