As Winchester's first .50 caliber offering this cartridge was developed for the Model 1876 rifle. The two piece green and black primary label box has been professionally repaired on the inside and is now solid with wood insert in the bottom having a few new cardboard shell dividers and visible seam separation on the top right corner. The label shows an excellent cartridge cut and has bright colors with some old staining, flaking and about 5% missing along the right edge. The rear bottom guarantee label is missing about half with an intact front reloading label and red "W" on the side. The cartridges however are in excellent plus condition, un-headstamped with the correct "X" marked copper inserts in the lead Express bullets. A seldom-seen box with near pristine cartridges. SOLD |
