Description:
This is a Gewehr M84/98 bayonet WWII pattern w/Bakelite grips. This fit the Mauser Gewehr 98 & Karabiner 98k which were two of the standard German infantry rifles. The ricasso is marked "E.PACK&S" on one side and 22 over i on other side plus 37 on blade spine. The non sharpened 9 7/8" (251mm) blade is in very good condition with most of finish, slight wear, tiny dings on the edge and an unaltered tip. The Bakelite handle has no cracks and is a deep brown color with a flashguard, the pommel has the double Waffenamt WaA253. The scabbard is coded 8929 over i. and is made by "EW.Holler", 1937 and is in very good condition with 85% +/- of its bluing with a dusting of surface oxidation. Shows slight wear with small scratches and no real dents. Both the bayonet and the scabbard are marked with the Waffenamt stampings. Please see pictures for details.
