This gun belonged to my wife's grandfather and would have been purchased in 1910 in Cooke, MN. My father-in-law had the metal refinished in a matte black. There are no dents or external pitting. The wood has normal handling marks and almost certainly was revarnished. There is some pitting in the barrel, but not to a level that I was worried about when I shot several rounds of trap. The gun patterns at almost 80% at 40 yards using RST 1-1/8oz 1150 fps. The gun operates flawlessly.
