The Sig Sauer P229 Legion Compact is an impressive alloy frame 9 mm 15+1 capacity semi-automatic pistol. There are six standard Legion variants. They have a matte gray Elite Cerakote over both slide and frame and unique “Legion” diamond hatched G-10 polymer grips. On top they have an X-Ray (Square) sight set. This pairs a fluorescent green dot front sight to a two white dot square-notch serrated rear sight.
P229 Legion semi-autos are 1.5” wide, 5.5” tall with an overall length of 7.1” wrapped around a 3.9” long carbon steel barrel. The sight radius is 5.7”. Total weight is 32.0 ounces. The stainless-steel slides feature forward facing diagonal slide serrations in back. Behind the slides are an exposed hammer and a short beavertail below it.
Each has a three-slot SIG Rail under the muzzle. SIG Rails are shallower than MIL-1913 rails and have curved bottoms.
Three are single action/double action (SA/DA) while three are single action only (SAO). The SA/DA trio have flat-face adjustable for both pre-travel and over-travel P-SAIT triggers sourced from Grayguns. In contrast, the SAOs have non-adjustable flat-face triggers.
