This is the Model 1916 "Baby Hammerless" revolver manufactured in Philadelphia by R.F. Sedgley, Inc. and is marked with a weak double Strike of "PATS. APRIL 5.10 / BABY HAMMERLESS / MODEL 1916" which is the early first type after the take over of the factory by Sedgley. In excellent condition this tiny double action retains virtually all 97-98% of the original nickel finish with slight drag lines and wear on the leading edges of the cylinder. The "S" hard rubber grips are in excellent condition. Mechanically it functions properly with a crisp trigger pull, proper timing and tight lock up but the firing pin has been taken out so that it does not fire. It looks like the firing pin can be re-attached but we cannot guarantee that it will function properly. An excellent, de-activated early example of the Sedgley Baby Hammerless.
