Research indicates this Walther PPK was manufactured in Germany in 1935, which makes it a C&R eligible firearm (S/N 8670**, no suffix). While this particular one does not bear any wartime markings, the PPK was a popular gun for German officers and higher ranking Nazis to carry during WWII due to its compact size. Unfortunately, the history of this particular model is unknown. The PPK is most notably featured in the older James Bond 007 movies. This gun is in decent condition for its age but does show moderate wear in the bluing from use and holstering. The right side grip panel has what looks to be a small crack just behind and above the Walther logo. Aside from that, mechanically the gun is in good condition. This gun is double/single action with a safety/decocker. The left side of the slide is marked (Top line) \"Waffenfabrik Walther, Zella-Mehlis (Thur), (Bottom Line) Walther‚‚s Patent, Cal 7,65 m/m, Mod. PPK. It includes one magazine and a \"Sneaky Peat\" leather holster. Due to the age and collectable nature of this firearm, it is sold \"As Is\" and it is recommended to have a gunsmith inspect it prior to shooting it. It is also advisable to do your own research to verify the history of this firearm prior to purchasing
