The unmarked antique rifle is a rotating two barrel muzzleloading rifle that operates on a swivel activated by a button on the tang which allows for the over/under configuration to swivel the second barrel into firing position. Both barrels have Rocky Mt. Blade front sights and sporting rear sights. One wood ramrod is mounted on the side. In antique fine overall condition the barrels are mostly a mottled plum-brown with some roughness near the breech and muzzle. The walnut stock shows several surface level cracks running with the grain but appears to be solid and sports a very nice locking brass patch box which is activated by a release button on the heel. Mechanically it functions properly holding at half and full cock with a slight bit of play in the barrel rotating mechanism. A really neat multi-barrel cap and ball rifle with a unique swivel mechanism. Antique. SOLD Antique: Yes |
