Here we present an antique Engraved Jones & Co. British Flintlock Full Stock Militia Musket, made circa the early 1800s likely in Birmingham, England. This would have been a multipurpose gun prolific in the United States in the early 19th Century. It is a smoothbore that could shoot ball in a martial setting or for larger game and it could be loaded with shot for hunting fowl and small game.
The overall condition is well used. Dark, weathered patina. The action lacks spring tension. The bore is smooth and dim. The stock has an old repair between the rear and middle ramrod tubes, a chip at the right side near the muzzle and a split at the left stock flat.
