Unless otherwise stated, our guns are not test fired as we have no facility for that. We inspect the firearm and it's action to see if everything appears functional but they are sold without warranty as we have no ammunition to test them with. Unless the item is listed as being sold AS-IS, there is a 3 Day Non-Shooting Inspection Period which starts when the item arrives at your dealer. No shooting, no disassembly. Visual inspection only to confirm correct item and that it matches description in major ways. Minor differences in subjective matters like percent of condition, etc, and personal opinions like ergonomics, fit to your hand or shoulder, etc, do not justify returns. Once you take the item home it is yours and no returns will be allowed. Items listed with AS-IS label are not returnable. We will not issue refunds for unknown mechanical problems. Here is abeautiful and really cool looking antique rolling block sporting rifle made by LH Hagen & Co in Christiania Norway. Christiania was the old name for Oslo. This rifle is chambered for 12.7x44R Centfire which is very similar to 50-70 Government. Some rifles in 12.7x44R can chamber and shoot 50-70. If I can locate 50-70 bullets I will check to see how they go in this one. The rifle has a full length stock with a bone or horn muzzle cap and is held firmly in place by (2) wedges. The bore looks very good for an antique and this rifle should make a great shooter with black powder or trailboss loads. The front and rear sights are adjustable. The cleaning rod is present but is tatered and broken short. Thanks for looking!
