Description:
The .30-40 Krag, also known as the .30 U.S. and .30 Army, was a rifle cartridge developed in the early 1890s to provide the U.S. armed forces with a smokeless powder cartridge suited for use with modern small-bore repeating rifles to be selected in the 1892 small arm trial. 

This Rifle is in Great codition and shows that it was cared for. It was in a collection for a Inheritance of WW2 and other collectables. Wood is in high condition and has a tiger stripe pattern.Cartouche marks are present and proper. Bayonet Patina blade and pommel with a US proof and date of 1899. Steel scabbard has lost its' blue. Hanger intact. The wooden grips show wear and stain. Some wear to hilt to the surface. Mortise button functions fine. Bayonet has original edge.

Rifle is in over all great working shape and needs nothing.
