We have received a very small quantity of original British #1 Mk III SMLE rifles that have been in French government storage since the end of World War II. Each gun has the “PP” marking with a 4-digit number which was the marking the French national police put on these guns when they were collected up after the war.
This gun is in very good condition, complete with all original parts, bolt and rear sight are numbered to the gun, bore is bright and shiny with strong rifling, appears to have a thin hairline horizontal crack at the tang on the stock as shown in the photos, but stock is sold. Caliber .303, comes with original magazine. Serial number of this gun is E51866, PP 2009
