Description:
Steyr-Mannlicher Model M carbine chambered in 6.5x55 MM. This rifle was made in Austria by Steyr Arms and features a 20" blued hammer forged twist barrel with no provision for iron sights. There are two-piece bases and rings installed on the top of the receiver holding a Leupold Vari-x 3.5x10-50mm scope. The left of the barrel is marked "6.5x55"." The left side of the receiver is marked with the Steyr logo, "STEYR" in an oval with crosshairs and "STEYR-MANNLICHER-M" The right side of the receiver is marked "MADE IN AUSTRIA" behind the ejection port and "SIMPSON LTD GALESBURG IL" import mark. The front right chamber ring is marked with the serial number "188253", two proof marks and "STH". The right of the barrel shank is also marked with the same proofs and "STH". The stock is a one-piece skip-line checkered walnut with capped pistol grip, Monte Carlo comb with cheekpiece, ventilated brown rubber Steyr recoil pad and sling studs front and rear. This gun also has an 1.5" crack behind the bolt. The plastic magazine housing around the front screw is cracked and missing pieces of plastic. Comes with one rotary magazine. 6.5x55mm
