Here is an original 16" 1893 Marlin Trapper in .30-30 caliber. Original Marlin Trappers do not come up sale to often. Winchester made a lot more Trappers than Marlin ever did so Marlins are a little more scarier. Overall condition is what you usually encounter with Trappers. It's a gray / brown patina with areas of pitting in areas. All markings are nice and sharp. Dimensions are correct: short forend is the 8 1/8" long, center of rear sight to front of the receiver 2 1/4", and end of the muzzle measures correctly. I will rate the bore a 7.5 on a scale from 1 to 10. Forend is in very good condition but the buttstock has had a couple of repairs but is super solid (see pics). Buttstock and buttplate have matching serial numbers to the gun. Action functions nicely. Has original front and rear sights. All in all a rarely seen 1893 Marlin for sale. Please feel free to ask questions. Must ship to a FFL or Curio and Relics license holder. This firearm as with any other should be checked first by a gunsmith before any attempt is made to fire / operate it.
