Winchester Model 1892 rifle in caliber 25-20 WCF. Standard configuration rifle with 24" round barrel, full magazine and crescent butt with steel butt plate, plain walnut stocks, plain trigger, straight grip, blued and case hardened finish, open sights. Serial number 385375, made in 1907.
All metal surfaces retain 10% of their original finishes, having turned a smooth, even patina. Bore is an 7 of 10 with some scattered oxidation and darkness that should clean out with a good scrubbing - rifling still sharp, not worn. Action is smooth with a properly-working half-cock safety. Rear sight and elevator are Winchester, as well as the German silver front sight with set screw. Mag tube is tight with no wobble. Stocks are sound with no splits or cracks, never sanded, with an extra coat of varnish added for protection, still tight and even with the metal, exhibiting expected nicks and dings from handling and use. Honest rifle as a collection-starter and hunter/shooter.
