Description:
Serial #220557, .41 Swiss RF, 33" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a Bern-manufactured rifle that has retained 90-92% of the original blue finish with some silvering at the muzzle, as well as some small spots of thin freckling scattered throughout. The bolt handle has a slightly plum-brown tone to the dark gray, but the bolt body has remained a bright pewter gray. The walnut buttstock and forend have minor surface scratches and surface blemishes evenly scattered about the otherwise excellent original military oil finish. The stamps are still crisp and clear, and a correct ramrod is also included. This is a handsome Vetterli overall, and is in fine condition. Antique;
