We normally ship USPS Priority Mail which should be 2-day ship. Shipping is actual cost with a minimum of $30.00 for pistols and $50.00 for rifles/shotguns to ship to most of the 48 contiguous states. Shipping to Alaska may require an extra fee. Shipping insurance is available upon request for an extra fee. We cannot do international sales. As of November 2019, we no longer ship guns to California and Hawaii.

The Colt 1911 is perhaps the most famous semi-automatic pistol ever made, having a long and successful carrier in both military and civilian use. The 1911 and its cartridge, the famous .45 ACP, were designed by John Moses Browning to fulfill a requirement by the U.S. Army for a new service pistol which would also become the first semi-automatic to be officially adopted by the U.S. Army, replacing the M1909 revolver in .45 Colt in service. The 1911 has proved to be one of the most reliable and durable semi-automatic pistols ever designed, successfully serving the U.S. Armed Forces through World War I, World War II, Korea, and Vietnam. This example here is one of the new Limited-Edition Series 70 Government Model O pistols. This version of the venerable Colt combines features of old and new. The markings on the left-hand side of the slide are similar to those used on 1911 pistols produced by Colt during the 2nd World War, while the right side of the slide is stamped “Limited Edition”. The trigger is the classic Crescent Moon type, and the thumb safety is the older low-profile type, again virtually identical to its WW2 counterparts. Modern features include a Novak low mount carry rear sight, Novak brass bead front sight, and upswept beaver tail. The 5-inch, National Match barrel uses a 1:16 inches left-hand twist. Like the slide and frame, the barrel features a blued finish. The checkering on the front strap has 25 lines per inch (LPI), while the carbon-steel mainspring housing has vertical serrations. The slide features rear-only cocking serrations, and the hammer is the type normally found on commander size pistols. As always, the Series 70 trigger and spring system ensures a short, crisp trigger pull. The pistol comes with one stainless-steel, 8-round magazine.
