Here is a wonderful and unusual AyA Model 37-A Deluxe hand-detachable sidelock over-under two-barrel set. Both sets of barrels have a gold-inlaid number on the rib. Both sets measure 28" and have 2 3/4" chambers and excellent bores. No. 1 is choked .016/.024 (about modified/improved modified), and No. 2 is choked .024/.033 (about improved modified/light full). Both sets up barrels lock up tight as new with double Kersten locks, and the ejectors are strong and in time. The bolstered, coin-finished action has deep-cut engraving of pheasants on one side, ducks in flight on the other, along with excellent scroll engraving. The lock-plates are hand-detachable with a hidden release lever (see photo.) There are side-mounted, gold-inlaid rotary cocking indicators. There is a rolled-edge trigger-guard and an articulated front trigger. The three-piece fore-end has an engraved latch release. The figured European walnut stock has a professionally done 1/2" extension and a raised comb (see photos), and measures 1 1/2" (drop at comb) x 1 7/8" (drop at heel) x 14 3/4" (length of pull) with neutral cast. The weight with both sets of barrels is 7 lbs 10 oz. A beautiful, high quality, hard to come by two barrel set.
