Description:
Winchester Model 97 Trench Gun, chambered in 12 Ga. Features include: takedown model, high polish commercial blue finish, finger groove walnut stock with hard rubber buttplate, 4 row ventilated handguard. This Winchester 97 has a serial number E914804 on the bottom of the receiver and was made in 1940, and a barrel serial number of 919341 which is a 1941 serial date. Cartouche on the left side of the stock is a boxed GHD with crossed cannons. Butt plate has a small chunk missing from the bottom. Bluing loss is seen on both sides of the receiver, but this is not corrosion. Bore is shiny. Wood shows various small gouges and handling marks. Comes with a sling that has HOYT 1917 on it. There appears to be no US property stamp or flaming bomb proof mark that we can find on the receiver or barrel. 12 Gauge
