A collector’s Used, Winchester Model 1892 / Model 92 Saddle Ring Carbine (missing ring) in 25-20; 20-Inch Barrel; Full-Length Magazine Tube; Serial Number 918,7XX indicates 1923 as the approximate year of manufacture. The Barrel, Receiver, Patent, and Caliber Markings are a little bit worn, but Legible. The Steel Forend Cap, Absence of a Barrel Band, and Magazine Tube Retainer are correct. The Smooth Wood Stock and Forend are Straight-Grained, Dark with Age, and in good condition for age. The Action feels Tight and Fully serviceable; the Steel Buttplate has little remaining finish; and the bore shows some pitting with preserved, shootable rifling. The Folding, Adjustable Ladder Sight is Correct for 25-20. The finish and condition are best appreciated in the photos – that in our non-expert/non-dealer estimate are approximately 60 Percent Original Condition with smooth patina.
