This shooter and collector is a Like-New Condition; Circa 2006-2012; Serial # CPT 19XX; Smith & Wesson Model 24-6 “Classic” .44 Special with the so-called Fifth (Top Sideplate) Screw, but No 4th (Front of Frame) Screw; and 6 ½ - Inch Barrel with that period’s lock above cylinder release. It has a Wide, Oval, Deeply Checkered Target Hammer; Medium Width Serrated Trigger; Tapered Barrel with Serrated Top Rib and Separate/Short Serrations on the front part of the Windage & Elevation-Adjustable Rear Sight that inset into the topstrap. The Round-Contoured Topstrap is Matte-Finished; Front Sight is Fixed, Pinned Partridge Style on an Integral Ramp that forms the front part of the barrel rib. It comes with Herrett’s Target Grips that cover the Frontstrap, Backstrap + Frame Bottom in the swooping Thumbrest + Hand-Web + Below-Finger support style with the frontstrap portion having subtle finger grooves. The barrel is marked “SMITH & WESSON” on the Right Side; “.44 SMITH & WESSON SPECIAL CTG.” on the Left Side. The revolver has been fired – what appears to be test-fired-only. Aside from a faint cylinder line, it looks new – both inside (bore and cylinders) and outside.
