Synopsis: British MK I No 4, WWII Military Rifle, made in 1943, 28L2749, FB00853 Description: Standard configuration Lee Enfield MK 1 No 4 Military Rifle, cal .303, made for the British Military by the Long Branch Arsenal in Canada in 1943. Horizontally adjustable front sight and peep rear sight with elevation bar adjustable up to 1300 meters. Manufacturer marking model and date of manufacture on left side of the action that is also marked with "England” and the full serial number. Usual British proofs on the small parts and stock that is fitted with two sling swivels and a brass butt plate with trap for cleaning implements. Condition: VG with wear consistant with and arm that has seen moderate military use. Bright bore, sharp rifling.
