Description:
This Marlin 27-S is a pump action chambered in .32-20 Winchester. It's low serial number (10XX) indicates it's likely one of the earliest examples of this model, which was manufactured from 1913-1922. Features include takedown capability and 24" octagon barrel with original rear sight and elevator. Buttstock maintains its bullseye. Safety button found on right side of receiver.
This rifle retains a great deal of its bluing for its age with some patina found. Stock shows minimal signs of wear with no major scratches or gouges. Hairline crack found on lower right of forearm stock. Magazine shroud shows a relief cut of some type where it meets the receiver. This doesn't appear to impede function whatsoever.
