This custom-engraved Smith & Wesson Model 29-2 in .44 Magnum, with a 4” barrel, is a truly remarkable piece, produced in 1979 and shipped to Italy, marked by the "AE" Italian date code. The revolver remains in like-new condition, with no signs of wear, boasting a pristine bore with sharp rifling, a smooth action, and a perfectly timed cylinder.
The polished walnut wraparound grips featuring the S&W emblem complement the revolver’s polished blue finish and luxurious custom engraving. Scrollwork covers most of the action, while the maker’s mark and caliber are inlaid in silver on the barrel. The S&W trademark is intricately detailed with silver and gold inlay, and the cylinder features further scroll engraving with a silver border, making this a true work of art.
Equipped with an adjustable rear sight and a ramped silver front sight, this revolver offers the precision and power expected from a Model 29. The case colors on the target hammer and target trigger remain vibrant, highlighting the revolver’s flawless craftsmanship. The breach face shows no signs of wear, underscoring its excellent condition.
