About Us: I have collected interesting firearms for about 60 years, and am a Benefactor/Life NRA member. I feel that it is now time to start selling a few things. Description:
Beautiful Winchester Model 71 Lever Action Repeating Rifle in .348 Winchester. This one was made in 1955 and is in excellent condition. I have owned this model 71 for about 15 years. I really like the 348 Winchester caliber. My Uncle Andrew always used one to hunt Elk on horseback. He always said that "You only need to hit them once with a 348". The Model 71 is basically a modified 1886 action with a 24" round barrel in a modern smokeless cartridge. This one is all original with the proper original open sights and no one has installed sling swivels or made any other alterations. It also has the original Steel Checkered Buttplate. I took this one to Alberta Canada for a Black Bear hunt. I shot 2 rounds, and took 2 Bears. It has a smooth action with a nice tight lockup and hits where you aim. Most of these have a lot of wear on the bottom of the action where they have been carried, but this one has very little wear in that area. The bore is excellent, there is no rust anywhere, and the wood only has a few minor scatches and bumps, and you have to look close to see them. Please check out the pictures and see what you think. RETURN POLICY- All firearms come with a 3-day non firing, no-tinkering with (turning screws, taking apart, removing parts, scoping. firing, cleaning or altering in any way) inspection/return privilege. Inspection is based on a visual review of the firearm to confirm that it is in the condition stated. In the case of a return, the buyer pays all shipping charges. Please ask questions.
