Description:
Serial #3090688, .30-06, 24" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This rifle has a 2-42 dated, "RA" marked barrel with the metal having retained 95-97% of the original parkerized finish, with some silvering at the muzzle, as well as on the high edges and projections, and on the bearing surfaces of the bolt. A commensurate amount of original Du-Lite blue remains on the bolt shroud, safety, and cocking piece. The walnut handguard and stock are in very good shape, with some minor handling marks and bruises scattered about the added oil finish. The Ordnance Dept. "Crossed Cannons," "R.L.B." (Roy L. Bowen) cartouche, firing proof, and Remington production stamps are still clear and fairly crisp in the wood. This is a fine example of an early war production Remington ‘03, and would make a splendid addition to any collection. FFL or C&R
