Jean Tanazacq is one of the most illustrious French cutlery artisans. His productions all exude a very strong personality, superb ergonomics, and they are closer to a piece of art than a knife. This model comes in two blade lengths 8-5/8" for the PRAIRIE 1,(the one being shown) and 7-1/8" for its companion,(see a separate listing later on). Both knives are constructed and made from 1/4" 440C steel stock, reinforced tip with a mirror polished blade. The solid brass pommel has two opening to tie up security laces, while both knives comes with a double brass guard for hand protection. Extra heavy-duty leather scabbard of the highest quality.
