Description:
"SN: 2524 made circa 1870’s to 1880’s in London England. 12 gauge side by side with 30" Damascus steel barrels with a single brass bead sight, 2 ½" chambers choked .005/.006 (SK/SK). Birmingham proof marks are seen on the barrel flats. Nicely engraved side lock hammer gun with rebounding hammers and sprung firing pins, a Grant & Hodges Patent side lever and key and slot forearm.14 ½" LOP to a steel butt plate with a drop of 1 ½" to 2 5/8". Bores are bright and in excellent condition with the browned barrels in very good condition with minimal wear and light handling marks. The stock and forearm are both in very good condition with only a small stress fracture that has opened up along a knot in the stock and the stock oval has been removed. The forearm tip has been replaced with epoxy resin but the checkering is strong and the action locks up tight with the barrels on face. Overall weight is 7 lbs 14 oz.
