Description:
This is a framed advertisement / instruction sheet for the "Allen's Patent New Model" side hammer percussion revolvers which was used on the back as stationary with the correspondence dated June 4, 1861. The Civil War era sheet contains detailed instructions for loading and cleaning of their latest revolver which was a popular private carry side arm during the war. Encased between two sheets of thick plastic the preserved letter remains in near excellent condition with crisp graphics showing old staining along the right side and along the top. A great item for display in any Civil War collection or to pair with your Allen & Wheelock revolver.
