This revolver is directly from Dennis LeVett and is in super nice condition and rare piece of his collection. Absolutely awesome piece for any collection. Serial number 6917. Cylinder serial number is also 917!! .31 Caliber dating to 1860!!! I wish I could afford to keep this revolver since it was from a legend in the Colt universe but unfortunately I can’t. Given its serial number and the color of the grips, the gun might have been one of the the Colt Roots which were equipped with grips made from the Charter Oak tree after it had to be cut down after a tempest. However I can’t know for sure without more research. This would be a 5th model root. Price based on rarity, condition, and documented previous owner, offers are appreciated!
