Here's a Excellent Example of a Winchester Model 1892 1st Year Production! Serial number 2355 . R/B in 38-40 cal . Factory Letter Included. Shipped in early 1892 . Gun has a Winchester Proof mark on barrel indicating that gun went back to the Winchester Factory for a Barrel replacement in the original caliber some time after 1905 . Gun is in excellent original condition with handling marks and bruises from use . Barrel has all of it's original blue finish still remaining with some loss . The tube is a nice brown blue patina .,frame has most all of the original blue finish thinning and edge wear . Loading gate shows some original finish. Original walnut stocks are in excellent original condition. Wood to metal fit is Excellent. Bore and mechanics are in excellent condition. Excellent working condition.
